Gayle,

Thanks for the reply. It shows that you have upstanding character that you would be willing to address something like this in public.

Buzztown was a member of BNI in a different city, and even a different State, at the time I wrote the review.

What really surprises me is that people are more concerned that I shared a truthful and factual review than about the horrid service I experienced with Buzztown.

Jeramiah: I appreciate your words. Now that you have clearly indicated on your website in several places that this review is for Farmington, only. I am somewhat satisfied. I still believe this is not the forum in which you should put a negative review about any BNI member. Since Buzztown has reps in the Durango chapters, and you indicated they are all under the umbrella of one company and one owner, it is clear that Buzztown is currently a member of BNI, and any negative complaints, reviews or comments you may have about a BNI member should be taken to the Membership Committee of the chapter(s) where they have a representative of this company, not to be posted in such public place as your website. We can have further discussion of this, privately, after I meet with Support Services of BNI and get a definitive answer from them as to whether or not you are in violation of BNI's Code of Ethics. .All future comment or discussions on this matter should be done privately.

I was recently asked if Steve Linn, the inventor of Buzztown, knew about this review. I don't know.

I tried contacting Steve Linn to discuss the issue after Kricket decided she didn't want to resolve the problem. I was unable to do so. I spoke with a number of representatives at Buzztown looking for Steve and none of them connected me to Steve.

It's sorta normal not to bug the boss with every little problem... but the facts of my review explain that this is not a minor problem.

Steve, if you read this... call me so we can sort this out. My user account on Buzztown was mysteriously "removed".

Gayle - BNI Executive Director,
Thanks for the response. I am sure we will be talking in the near future.

I allow all comments on my website, as long as they are not flagrantly abusive or full of foul language. I allow comments because I support the open market and full disclosure. I don't know why you are not happy with the comments but I will gladly discuss any issue you may have.

I have heard that this review has caused some strife. I realize that my blunt honesty can offend some. If there is something you think I should phrase differently in my review I am more than happy to discuss options with you. It was unfortunate that Buzztown was unwilling to meet with me to further discuss the issue. The Business owners in Farmington who requested this review were likewise amazed at the Buzztown response.

If you are suggesting that I hide or suppress the truth of this detailed review, it would go against my character to show such dishonesty, and it would go against serving my clients.

Since Buzztown in Farmington is not a member of BNI I took this matter to the Better Business Bureau to offer Buzztown an opportunity to respond.
